Adrano is located at the southwest slope of the volcano Etna, on a lava plateau over the valley of Simeto. Adrano belongs to the province Catania. The city is a center of wine production in Sicily. You will find a Castle/Fortification dating back to the times of the Normans. In the castle is an archaeological museum, with finds from the new stoneage and the Greeks.
