Lentini belongs to the province Siracusa and has about 32.000 inhabitants. Lentini also goes back to the colonisation of the Greeks and was called Lentinoi at ancient times. From this time some sites are still conserved today and can be watched in 3 km distance. Today, Lentini calls itself also citta delle arancie, which means town of oranges, because of the big orange plantations in the surrounding of Lentini.
Worth visiting in the old town of Lentini are the Chiesa Madre and an archaeological museum.
